The most powerful, extensible, customizable, TRUE DDoS, and TRUE Distributed Brute Force Prevention tool since 2012 (compare it, I dare you :D ) and now it handles all ports and protocols, not just HTTP/S!
BAIU is a (royalty free) patent pending, world first rate limiter that has saved Choice Hotels half a million dollars in digital theft in one year already, reducing the losses from over $8,000 weekly to $0 i.e. 100% resolution and with proper configuration thus far has been able to boast 99.9999% accuracy while handling over 60,000 unique events daily.
IP/CIDR Blocks that we've blacklisted due to heavy brute forcing, mostly from distributed brute force attacks
Our goal with this information is to share source IP address of sophisticated attacked we've encountered. We only share the source IP and all events are specific to Account Take Overs (ATOs). All that have been reported were each part of a distributed attack using all given sources during the event.
We do not report small/simplistic/discovery sources. The purpose is for other Organizations & Security Connoisseurs to have a chance to compare their DDoS based attacks against our own we've discovered with our own sites, and our customer's who opt to allow us to share this data.
It's well known the threat actors work collectively in various ways and often resources, despite wide distribution, are often reused over time and more so across organizations.
Threat Actor Group A has Bot Net A and will attack Target A while Threat Actor Group B does the same with Bot Net B and Target B. Then Threat Actor A will lease Bot Net B to attack Target A while Threat Actor Group B leases Bot Net A to attack Target B. Then Threat Actor Group A & B move on to Target C & D, maybe trade attacking Target A & B. Then they work with Threat Actor Group C & D so now A, B, C, & D work collectively while focusing on their own goals.
Using the same methodology from an Enter Web Security posture, if Organizations & Security Connoisseurs work we can collectively protect our assets while also focusing on our own goals. Beat them at their own game ;)
